Columbus is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Columbus follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a really good latte. As a retired barista from back when Starbucks was actually good ☕️, I can be a bit picky. Freedom definitely knows how to make a smooth, creamy latte, and the rosemary breakfast sandwich was absolutely delicious. Huge bonus points for serving breakfast all day…some of us don’t wake up until much later. 😂 Thanks for the great food and coffee!

Too many great options! The breakfast sandwich was great, so I came back the next day to try a croissant and scone. No surprise, they were great too. The matcha was very smooth and the dirt cake latte special was out of this world. I wish this was local to me!

Lovely spot downtown with the loveliest people! Yummy options for breakfast and lunch and creative coffee concoctions 😊 On top of that, their mission and community engagement are commendable. They support fighting human trafficking and their catering service employees women who have struggled with hardships. Well run business, friendly service, good eats and drinks, and a good cause. Support this local business! I tried the mango sticky rice cold foam cold brew which was strange but fun! They allow you to swap things on the sandwiches as needed, and the baked goods looked decent. Not the best lamination on the the croissants, but still tasty :)

Freedom à la Cart is everything you want in a downtown Columbus café. The food is fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious; I ordered the turkey club with bacon. It was so good and toasted. What makes this place extra special is the mission behind it. Knowing that the café supports women survivors on their path to independence makes every purchase feel meaningful. The staff are warm, genuine, and clearly passionate about what they do that energy is contagious and makes the whole experience feel uplifting. The location in the heart of downtown Columbus is perfect for a quick lunch break or a relaxed weekend morning. It’s the kind of spot that makes you feel good about where you’re spending your money. Highest possible recommendation — do yourself a favor and go!

Whenever I travel to new places, I always like going to local coffee shops. Stopped by freedom, à la carte Café, and bakery prior to my meeting this morning; was very happy about the early opening time. I ordered a coconut milk 16 ounce hot latte with an almond croissant and a breakfast sandwich. The croissant was fresh out of the oven when I ordered it and was comparable to French croissants I had in Ireland. The breakfast sandwich was also very flavorful and filling. Lastly, the coffee kept me awake, but did not give me any jitters throughout the day, which I greatly appreciate. I should’ve bought a bag of coffee if they sell it. Everything I ordered was delicious and would 10 out of 10 recommend if you are looking for a local business to support with a good cause.
